Spring & Summer Fashion Trends…Hot or Not?
If you have been to any store recently the new spring and summer styles are out for 2022. Some are gorgeous!! Other’s are something else entirely…
Bright & Bold Colors
Now this is something I can get on board with!!! I am loving all the bright, bold, just short of neon colors that are infiltrating our stores this time of year!! Not totally off the wall and adaptable for everyday style.
For Work
Express has this coordinating set in hot pink and bright green. They are amazing together or can be worn separately. This is something totally transferable to the work place, even if you are like me and have to dress business casual to business formal most days!
For Play
Something else you will see trending this summer is halter tops.
Super easy to wear this dress with heels and add a cute clutch and take it out on the town. Best part?! It’s under $20!!
For Everyday
You could really wear this with anything. Jean shorts, sport shorts, anything. Super simple street style.
Pastels
Cue Meryl Streep in Devil Wear’s Prada, “Pastels for Spring? Groundbreaking…” I love pastel tones, though they do wash me out a bit, but are pastel’s creative? Not really. Still blush pink monochromatic power suites? Sign. Me. Up!!
For Work
This is everything. I love all the pastel tones Express has in work wear right now. Express has this cami crop in multiple pastel tones - lavender, green, pink. They also have several other blazers in light blue and pink as well. If I was made of money I would have all of them!!
For Play
SHEIN has so many different pastel dresses you seriously just have to go to their site and search pastel. Different styles, colors, lengths. If you haven’t checked out my SHEIN review you should!! It will help you navigate the site!
For Everyday
Simply pair this top with white shorts or jeans and slide on sandals and you’ve got a lot a perfect weekend outfit!! Peep the balloon sleeves, also a trend you will see a lot of in the spring/summer wardrobe essentials.
70s Inspired
Some of these I love, some of these I absolutely hate. Hate because how is a 5’ 3’’ normal sized human look good in elastic bellbottoms?!? They are gorgeous but not for everybody. I also cannot break this out between work, play and everyday because I really don’t know where I would wear any one of these.

This is my favorite piece out of anything I found in this style genre. HOW CUTE ARE THESE BUTTERFLIES?!?! I still don’t have any idea where I would wear this but I adore it!
