  • Wouldn’t leave the resort so stuck with 3 restaurants on site

  • Not a lot of excursions available

  • Nothing is included with hotel

  • Beach Access

  • No Passports Needed

Destination #3

Mexico

  • Location: Xupha, Mexico

  • Lodging: Barcelo Maya Rivera - $3,768

    • Adults Only, All Inclusive

  • Flights: Des Moines to Charlotte to Cancun - included with lodging prices

  • Food/Drinks: included with lodging prices

  • Passports Needed - $800 for 2 - THANKS COVID

Pros:

  • Let’s say it for the people in the back…ALL INCLUSIVE, NO CHILDREN!

North Carolina

Cons:

  • Don’t really want to have to cook

  • Not a super direct flight. Would require a rental car and to drive an hour to get to Emerald Isle

Pros:

  • Less money spent on eating out because you could cook meals in the house

  • Walking distance to the beach

  • Can take a car to different restaurant/excursions

Destination #5

Glamping

The only option that does not involve the ocean and I am not sure I like that but none the less, we’re leaving it in for variety and I would actually love to do this some day.

  • Location: Gatlinburg, TN

  • Lodging:

  • Flights: Des Moines to Dallas/Chicago to Knoxville - $1,000

  • Rental Car: 1 hr. Knoxville to Gatlinburg - $500

  • Groceries/Food/Drink:

    • Hotel: $1000

    • Airbnb: $500

Grand Total: $2,950 (Airbnb) - $3,700 (hotel)

Cons:

  • Don’t really want to have to cook

  • Not a super direct flight. Would require a rental car and to drive an hour to get Gatlinburg

  • Not an ocean

Pros:

  • Romantic location

  • Super unique location

  • Lot’s of little random things to do that don’t cost a ton of money

  • Would have a car to go different places
