A Brunch Review - Mitzi’s
Oh my god guys!! This is seriously the best brunch I have had in soooo long!! Located in Valley Junction a MUST stop if you are in the area.
Food - 10/10
I cannot rave enough about these waffles. Homemade strawberry puree, whipped cream and powdered sugar. No syrup necessary! I am not sure where they found bread this large and thick but it made AMAZZIIINNNNGGGG French toast.
My husband had the hash with green peppers and onions and loved it! Ate it all in one sitting, can’t say I was able to do that but I came close!
They offer a mix of breakfast and lunch options. We leaned heavy in ordering towards the breakfast side but they had some amazing meatless lunch options too. I had my eye on the chicken-less chicken sandwich sliders.
And don’t you worry vegans!! They have vegan pancakes that came out and looked absolutely amazing as well!
Mimosa - 11/10
Full disclosure I did NOT have a regular mimosa BUT I did have
The Rhiannon - Oh. My. God. This was so amazing. Mulberry Gin and Blackberry puree with champagne. May honestly be the best mimosa-style drink I have ever had. Like, EVER. This is clearly the drink they are known for. We sat at the bar and watched the bartender make about 6 of them in 30 minutes. No, they weren’t all for me :)
Millions of Peaches - Again, oh my God…peach moonshine, peach puree and champagne.
There are like 7 different mimosa-esqe drinks (plus the regular). There really is no words to describe how amazing these drinks are. Sitting and watching the bartender make them, you can tell they really pride themselves on a quality drink.
Side note, no bottomless but they do have a jumbo super mimosa!
Ambiance - 10/10
Everything about this place is cool. I mean look at that wall?!? And the bathrooms have paintings hung all over the walls AND the ceiling!! It’s just eclectic, carefree and fun. Basically everything Valley Junction is at it’s core. It’s perfect that it’s located there!
It wasn’t overly busy but we went late on Sunday. We just sat at the bar and all the patrons were very nice. You could tell they had a “typical” Sunday crowd.
Service - 9/10
Honestly, there was nothing wrong with the service. As I said, we sat at the bar and he was super pleasant. You could also tell there was a really good rapport between all the servers which is always great.
I just can’t rave about this place enough. It’s amazing. I am embarrassed it took me so long to try it. Don’t you wait as long to try it as me!!
